ElectronVibe - The Bridge

An open-innovation program for electric utilities, via which a cohort of mature power-sector startups co-develop business-cases for scalable technological innovations, with the aim of implementing pilot-projects as a precursor to larger deployment

Smart Energy Meter retrofit pilot

Utility: BSES

DRMZ developed a cost-effective 6LoWPAN smart meter retrofit for BSES Rajdhani's diverse meter network. Retrofitting to DLMS protocol, it enables data consolidation. Each module connects up to 50 meters, minimizing network charges. Expected savings over 5 years per retrofit: Rs. 7791. Potential total savings: Rs. 467 Crore in 25% network rollout.

Modernised grid and consumer management pilot

Utility: APSPDCL

Village Energy's pilot plan with APSPDCL aims to reduce supply costs by 30% using low-cost solar energy, increase consumption by 6%, meet 50% of daytime demand from solar sources, and achieve peak load reduction by 13%. The solution includes IoT devices, demand management, and digital billing for improved efficiency and customer satisfaction.

IoT enabled fault detection system pilot

Utility: Tata Power DDL

The pilot project with Tata Power-DDL involved installing Smart Optimizers to LT feeders, providing real-time data on power parameters. Benefits included increased profit, operational efficiency, and fire risk mitigation through alerts on electrical faults. The project showcased potential savings and improved understanding of load patterns for better utilization of the system.
